How can correct variance calculation be set up in Dataplus?

To edit the variance calculation, go into GENERAL LEDGER -> STATEMENTS
-> FILE MAINTENANCE -> DEFINITION.

Select the defintion code for you statement, and then press F2 until you get to to the STATEMENT COLUMNS. A "CTRL-L" will help you find the calculation columns, or you can press PAGE DOWN or PAGE UP to scroll through.

The calculation column should be type "c," and in the CALC TYPE field it should say "s." Type "v" calculations are vertical, "s" is for variance. When you enter in the columns to be calculated, remember that Col 2 will be subtracted from Col 1.
