This utility,
accessed from General Ledger > Statements > Format Utilities, will
add the starting account number to a statement row description. The account
number can be added before or after the current row description. The utility
can be run for all of the statement rows by leaving the following fields blank
or for a selected row code and sequence number range.
IMPORTANT: Running this procedure will
alter the descriptions on your statement. You may want to make a back up before
running the procedure using "row copy". Or try the procedure on one
row before using it for an entire statement.
Upon making
this selection, the following screen will appear:

Fields
Row Code
Use
Ctrl-L to search and select the row code of the statement you wish to modify.
Starting Sequence Number
Use
Ctrl-L to search and select the starting sequence number in the range you wish
to modify. Or leave blank to modify the entire statement.
Please Note:
If you select a sequence that includes multiple ranges of accounts, only the
first account number in that range will be displayed in the description column
of the statement
Ending Sequence Number
Use
Ctrl-L to search and select the ending sequence number in the range you wish to
modify.
Account Number Before OR After Description
If
you’d like the account number to appear before the description (ex. 000-00-0000 Revenue), place
the radio button on ‘Before’. If you’d like the account number to appear after
the description (ex. Revenue 000-00-0000), place the radio button on ‘After’.
Once you have
made your selections, press F2 to continue. You will then be met with the
following warning message:

Press ‘Yes’ to
continue OR press ‘No’ to return to the entry screen. Once the utility is
complete, you will be returned to the Utilities frame.
